Food Allergies & Dietary Requirements
We are committed to ensuring the safety and well being of all children with food allergies or intolerances. We operate a robust food safety management system, maintain up to date allergen information for all ingredients sourced from approved suppliers, and take reasonable precautions to minimise the risk of cross contamination within our kitchens.
All allergens are clearly identified when selecting meals online via www.schoolmealsonline.co.uk. This information is based on supplier specifications and reflects allergens intentionally included in the final product. However, we cannot guarantee that ingredients have been prepared in completely allergen free environments.
For example, while we operate ‘nut free’ kitchens and do not include nuts or nut based ingredients in our meals, some suppliers may handle nuts in the same facilities where our ingredients are produced. In addition, all 14 major allergens are used within our kitchens.
If your child has extremely sensitive trace reactions to any allergens, we cannot guarantee that our meals will be suitable. We strongly encourage parents and carers to contact us before ordering so we can discuss individual requirements and assess any potential risks.
We are dedicated to ensuring all children have access to healthy, nutritious school meals. If your child’s needs – whether due to allergies, intolerances, religious, or ethical reasons – are not met by our standard menus, please inform us so we can explore alternative arrangements.
Please note that ingredients may change at short notice. It is essential that we maintain accurate and up to date allergy and contact information. In the first instance, please inform your child’s school, who will communicate this information to us.
